Yesterday I left you with a view of what my daughters room used to look like.
Check it out now.
Isn't that much better?
The huge desk left by the previous owners was moved out to the garage.
In its place is this desk I bought at a garage sale last summer for $7.
And check out the amazing transformation in the closet.
Here is a closeup of the details.
1. The top shelf was lowered so that I can now hang clothes on. They are low enough for me to reach but allow me to keep clothes out of the kids reach
2. These bins were still packed up in the garage. I set them on top of the lower shelf out of the kids reach. This allows me to store toys that are not used that often.
3. My daughter LOVES purses. So I used some linking rings to hang them from the wire shelf. They are low enough for her to reach and it keeps them off the floor.

4. Books and toys were stacked neatly on the cubbies. And her piggy bank was placed out of reach of little sister. (since she likes to steal her money and put it in her mouth)
5. This storage unit was purchased at Target a few years ago and was still sitting in the garage. Using some old Sterilite drawers (not sure what happened to the frame for them). I was able to sort and organize all her toys.
6. I was able to use the shelf brace in place of a book end.
7. Since she does not have a dresser, these fabric boxes purchased at the dollar store a few months ago, holds her pj's, socks and underwear.
8. Her backpacks were placed on hangers to keep them off the floor. and a laundry basket (which you can barely see in the bottom corner) was added for her dirty clothes.
This is only a temporary fix as I have big plans for this room.
New bed
Paint the desk
Find a dresser
Paint the walls
Add a reading nook
New desk chair
Ect...ect...ect
But for now I think this will do just fine.
